Michael Jackson's face. If only...

What an average 50 year old African American man should have looked like. Happy, focused, cherishing the highlights of his amazing career. A sort of Springsteen of black music.

But no...

I loved MJ. I am sad that he changed his appearance so drastically. He would have been a handsome older man. Oh well, RIP MJ.

Wouldn't that have been cool? He was still an amazing performer.

I remember an Ebony magazine a piece back in the '80s that did the same thing with him and other celebs. Surreal...

Would have aged to be a handsome brother.

Good Post on Black Wall St, I was trying to locate article on those brothas. These are the type of stories we should see on BIA2.

Why the short 'fro? I think he would be thinner and have locs or a press and curl.

This breaks my heart. This MJ, if not still performing, would probably be the head of a production company.

Listen To All Yourselves -
Lamenting a man none of you really knew

A man who had everything - Looks, Talent, Charisma, Charm, AND HE WASTED IT ALL

A man so caught up in the circus of his life: He lived solely on the glorious memory of his past musical and artistic achievements that long ago faded from everyone’s cultural radar - 15 year plus ago if we are being honest to ourselves!

Yes in many ways the world was a better place because MJ was with us - BUT MJ is also the symbol of all the things that are wrong with our over-hyped media driven culture. The very things ol Nat is so quick to not so bluntly point out are the wrong things to prize and value in our culture.

I love the man for his music and how in his own twisted way he tried to show all people regardless of color that we can have more in common with each other then we think, BUT I can’t forgive him for letting his life become a train wreck opera for us mock, make fun of, and now after the wreck is beyond hope or repair expect us to pity...

The cynic in me says to proclaim that - The King Is Dead Long Live The King...Oh Yeah And Bring On To Us The Next Victim - QUICKLY!

Wow, I guess a nose job and vitiligo really stuns people. Go figure. Glad I'm not that sensitive.

He didn't 'let' his life become anything the racist hypocrite MEDIA and their high-tech lynch mob mentality were the ones who started it. And just like any OTHER black personality/celebrity/performer who has waaaaay too much money, fame, adortaion, attention, success for his own damn good the media vultures are going to pounce!! They didn't do that with Marlon Brando even though his son KILLED his future brother in law and his own daughter called him 'the devil himself' then later committed suicide. Or Ryan O' Neal despite the fact he began dating Farrah while SHE WAS STILL MARRIED to Lee Majors, knocked his oldest son's 2 front teeth out in a fight, held a GUN to same son's face, and is now caught doing drugs with youngest son. Those are just a few examples but there are MANY white celebrities who are not only completely cuckoo for cocpuffs but leave a WHOLE lot to be desired. But the media protects them because they are 'white like we'!!
